Belinda completed her Master's in Occupational Therapy at Touro University of Nevada in 2010. She has practiced continuously since graduating in a variety of pediatric settings specializing in sensory integration. Belinda enjoys working with a wide range of ages, from early intervention to adolescents. She has taken a broad range of courses in sensory integrative principles and became certified in Ayres Sensory Integration. Belinda has also taken courses in feeding, interactive metronome, handwriting, cognitive perceptual organization, and neurodevelopmental treatment approaches, among others. Belinda believes strongly in taking therapy beyond the one to one setting and working closely with the child's entire team to ensure maximal carryover of therapeutic strategies into the child's life.
Iris completed her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with Touro University Nevada in June 2019 and her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology at UCLA in June 2015. Her doctoral capstone project consisted of creating and implementing a mindfulness program tailored to the transgender population to help with their mental health. Iris has had experience working with children since she was 15 years old and found her passion working with them at a young age. Her experience with children spans from interning at Select Kids Outpatient Pediatric Clinic, Spirit Therapies using therapeutic riding, UCLA Parenting and Children’s Friendship Program, and working as an Applied Behavior Analysis therapist. When she is not working with children she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends. If you spot her alone you might get a glimpse of her dancing, singing, or hiking.
Lalisa completed her Master in Occupational Therapy at Touro University Nevada in 2019 and is also a Las Vegas native. She has always been interested in the pediatric population as they have always been such a joy to work with and has also had some experience in early intervention during her program. Lalisa is especially interested in the role of sensory integration in children and hopes to become certified in Ayres Sensory Integration in the near future. Lalisa believes that the holistic and client-centered role of occupational therapy plays a major role in development in children. In her free time, Lalisa enjoys trying new foods and spending time with her loved ones.
Renzie is also a born & raised Las Vegas native who completed her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California in 2019. She has always been passionate about working with kids because of their contagious energy! Renzie had a great opportunity to train and earn her certification in Ayres Sensory Integration at the Pediatric Therapy Network in Torrance, CA, where she learned so much about the theory & application of Sensory Integration. Renzie hopes to continue to learn and grow more as a clinician to help children & their families achieve their greatest potential. In her spare time, Renzie enjoys hiking, exploring National parks, going to the beach, and eating.
Brynn completed her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Touro University Nevada in 2019. After performing with Cirque du Soleil's "O" for nearly 13 years as a synchronized swimmer and having 2 children of her own, she decided to pursue the rewarding field of occupational therapy and combine her love of working with children and all things aquatic. Her doctoral capstone project and research study allowed her to develop an aquatic occupational therapy program for children with disabilities which she then turned into her practice here in Henderson, Ocean of Change Therapy Services. Brynn gained invaluable experience and support as a student here at Motivated Kids Therapy and is now back to help our clients as well. Outside of work, you can find Brynn swimming in the pool or Lake Mead, hiking with her kids and dog, and spending time with friends and family.
Tanja received her Master's in Occupational Therapy at Texas Woman’s University in Houston. Since that time, she has concentrated her clinical skills on helping children and their families. Tanja has always had a strong passion for working with children and enjoys the teamwork involved in helping kids and families succeed in everyday life. She has acquired her certification in Integrated Listening Systems (iLS) and continues to take courses to further expand her clinical knowledge. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) specialist in Las Vegas, NV that focused on providing services to children with mental health and emotional disorders. This experience inspired her to become an occupational therapist. She has experience treating a broad range of pediatric disorders including Sensory Processing Dysfunction, Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, Down Syndrome, congenital limb deformity, developmental delay, and fine motor delay/handwriting difficulties. Tanja approaches her treatment with a client centered, individualized approach for each patient and family with the understanding that each child and family is unique and deserves their treatment to be tailored to their specific needs. In her free time, Tanja enjoys exploring new places with her husband. Tanja’s other interests include cooking, travel, photography, kite flying, and shopping.
Erica recently completed her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with Thomas Jefferson University in May of 2018. She completed her Masters in Occupational Therapy at Midwestern University in 2010 and Bachelor in Music Therapy at Chapman University in 2006. Erica has received an Advanced Practice Teaching certificate, and is certified in Ayres Sensory Integration, Handwriting Without Tears, and The Listening Program. Additionally, she has obtained advanced training in sleep education and supporting social-emotional skills. Erica believes in the importance of a child-centered, evidence-based, holistic and multidisciplinary approach to therapy as well as the value of parent education and involvement. She loves creating an interactive, motivating, and nurturing atmosphere to help children develop confidence in themselves.
Stephanie completed her Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology at South Carolina Sate University in Orangeburg, SC. She has practiced in a variety of pediatric setting upon graduation. Stephanie loves working with the pediatric population and seeing their communication skills grow and flourish. She works closely with the parents to determine the best approach for their child and family. Stephanie enjoys taking courses to learn and grow to better help the children she works with. Several of the courses she has taken focus on PECS and Augmentative communication, as well as stuttering, phonological disorders and apraxia.
Cathy completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Touro University Nevada in 2018. She fell in love with pediatrics as a student during her clinical internships, when she worked with children of all ages in the outpatient setting and with infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She loves this population because children work the hardest and have the most fun. She believes that every child deserves the opportunity to develop to their highest functional potential, and she strives to provide individualized care catered to the unique needs of each child. Cathy is especially interested in the use of proprioceptive input for sensory processing and studying the correlation between NICU stay and gross motor development. In her free time, Cathy enjoys hiking, weightlifting, and watching hockey.
Lexie completed her degree to become a Physical Therapist Assistant at Pima Medical Institute and graduated with high honors in December 2015. She is also trained in Massage Therapy, Boris Prilutsky’s Silicone Cupping and Medical Massage, RockTape Functional Movement Techniques, RockTape Performance Movement Techniques, and Aromatouch Technique. Lexie is pleased to find a career in which her passion of working with children can be realized every day. Lexie plans to obtain her Certificate of Advanced Proficiency in Pediatric Physical Therapy in the future. In her spare time, Lexie enjoys volunteer work, traveling, baking, singing, spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
Yanassie is a true local, born and raised in Las Vegas currently attending CSN. She enjoyed volunteering at Sunrise Children’s Hospital and gained valuable knowledge from her experience there. Yanassie is very interested in the healthcare field and is focusing her studies in related areas. On her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog Nala.
